During the current COVID-19 pandemic many operational teams are feeling disconnected, remote, and often isolated. In Ireland, a recent University of Limerick Kemmy Business School research initiative reported that 40% of employee respondents were feeling organisationally disconnected and 51% were feeling less team connected.
This problem is manifesting itself with productivity levels getting higher but morale getting lower and in some cases beginning to plummet. Team members are losing that connection with each other, with video calls and team meetings being more “transactional” in nature, leaving little room for social niceties and for some a loss of connection to the organisation and it’s vision.
Leigh Gillen from Leigh Gillen Events and Dave A. Barry from Conexion.ie have close to 50 years experience between them in event management and people/culture/strategy. Leigh and Dave have now joined forces to create the “Team Boost” event for clients looking to help their teams re-connect to each other and the organisation. Businesses want their teams to feel valued and invested in the company’s future, whilst individuals want to see their contribution to their teams and what gives them work satisfaction.
For this panel discussion we will also be joined by Anne Marie Crowley, from Crowley Personal & Business Change, who will talk about the importance of EQ in the remote workplace.
