CCMA Leadership Development Workshop 5 - Managing yourself while Leading others

Date: 26/01/2022

Venue: On Line Workshop 9.30 a.m. - 12.30 p.m.

Many team leaders are so focused on leading their teams while managing upwards effectively that their own wellbeing and work-life balance are forgotten. If you have found yourself wondering who is looking after you while you lead others this workshop is for you. Thinking about how we manage our time, our emotions and how we find enjoyment in the work we do is often seen as a luxury but it is a necessity if you want to be a good leader. This workshop will help you do just that in a fun supportive and non-judgemental environment.

Learning Outcomes - By the end of the workshop you will be able to:

  • Learn about the importance of Emotional Intelligence and how to deepen yours
  • Understand the importance of role models and identify what type of a role model you want to be.
  • Explore how to foster resilience in yourself and your team
  • Recognise and acknowledge the competing needs inherent in leading a Team and some tips to create win-win outcomes.
  • Hear about practical tips to manage your Work-Life Balance

Participants will:

  • Complete a personal Work-Life Balance Audit
  • Do a reality check - what do your Team need from you, what do you need from them?
  • Workshop what are the particular challenges Team Leaders face in managing themselves and discuss strategies to address these challenges
  • Learn best practice from research and share tips with each other
  • Build your personal Manage Myself Strategies

Cost per participant is €150 for CCMA members and €200 for non members. Group discounts are available. Please contact dorothy@ccma.ie if you would like further information or to book a place.
