David Gillick is a retired Irish international track and field athlete. During his 12 year career as one of Ireland’s best ever athletes, he broke the magical 45 second barrier over 400 metres, was twice a European 400m champion, became an Olympian, was consistently ranked in the world’s top 10 400m athletes and holds Irish records over the distance.
David has always been passionate about healthy food and the importance it plays in peak performance not only on the track but in home and work life. In 2013 David was the winner of Celebrity MasterChef Ireland.
His motivational talk touches on his journey – on and off the track, looks at diet and exercise, mental health and includes some interactive activities throughout. David welcomes questions after his talk, either as a group or on an individual basis.
