Your Voice Matters: Make the Connection

Maria Tecce, Confident Speak, highlights three takeaways from her presentation at the CCMA Experience Summit

Clarity - We have to be clear in how we speak, be articulate, using our consonants, speaking clearly. We also have to be clear in our thought. Clear thought equals clear voice. Colour - We can add colour to our voice by using volume, pitch, pace, articulation, pause, and rhythm. Adding texture and colour to the voice helps add emotion and contrast. Credibility - Be present in what you're saying, bring emotion into the voice. Really mean what you say. You are a human being talking to another human being. Commit to your words and delivery. It has to be more than words. Remember, it's not about you, it's about your audience. Breathe. Warm up the voice.
